Real Estate Counsel & Strategic Advisor
Adam is a focused, solutions-driven real estate attorney who guides clients through every phase of the development and investment process—from initial land acquisition and rezoning through construction, planning, closing and when necessary, litigation. His comprehensive understanding of the entire real estate lifecycle makes him an invaluable strategic partner to investors, lenders, developers, contractors, and landlords throughout Middle Tennessee and beyond.
Adam brings meticulous attention to detail and deep knowledge across all aspects of the real estate discipline. His practice encompasses land use and zoning, commercial and residential planning and development, construction law, real estate transactions, financing, and general litigation matters. Whether negotiating complex development agreements, navigating municipal approval processes, resolving construction disputes, or structuring sophisticated financing arrangements, Adam delivers practical counsel grounded in both legal expertise and real-world experience.
What sets Adam apart is his unique background. Prior to law school, he held a real estate license, worked as a mortgage originator, and gained extensive experience at one of Tennessee's largest title and escrow companies. This foundation—combined with over twenty years in the real estate title and closing business—gives him insight that few attorneys possess. He understands not just the legal framework, but the practical realities of how transactions come together and where problems arise before they become costly.
As co-owner of Commerce Title & Escrow with his wife and fellow SoBro Law Group member, Amy Wood, Adam maintains active involvement in the title and closing industry. This hands-on experience ensures his counsel remains current, practical, and aligned with market realities.
A third-generation Nashvillian, Adam previously practiced at Rudy, Wood & Winstead, PLLC, before co-founding SoBro Law Group.
